More Easter Fun

Picture Overload

It has been awhile since I've posted, but not because I haven't been taking pictures! It's the in between part that's slowing me down.

I love to do a little editing to each picture before I consider it "done". To me, showing pictures without editing is like going out without your makeup. You look okay... but not your best.

With editing and makeup... a little goes a long way. As most classy women know, we wear makeup to accentuate our best features and maybe hide a few flaws. But not to change our whole look to make us someone we're not.

The same goes for editing pictures... I'm not trying to make the picture something it's not... just fine tune it a little!

So anyhoo....! That's what's taking me so long to post. I have gobs of pictures but just haven't had the time to edit! But finally.... picture overload:

The past few weeks...

Chris and I watched Amayah while Payton was on a date with his parents :)

She is so photogenic... can't resist taking pictures of her when she's around!

We got a "new-to-us" grill! Beautiful, relaxing night grilling for the first time!

More to come (eventually) from the McMillan Easter along with some cute kiddos from the Aschliman fam! I'm also very excited to have another newborn photoshoot coming up! (whenever my good friend April brings her little bundle into the world) Very excited for that!

Beautiful Sunshine

It's finally warming up, so I spent the afternoon at the park with some cute kiddos and their mom and dad :)

Payton was able to climb up the tire "thingy" all by himself....

He was quite proud :)

The Beauty of Black & White

This past Friday was a very exciting day for me! Not only did I have my first real photo session with my new camera, but it was my first newborn session. I learned so much and had a great time. My good friend, Christina, came along to shoot with me. Her and her husband are also getting involved in photography so it was great to work with her and learn from her as well! So enough babble.... here's the little sweetie!

Meet Crete... only nine days new

This session was harder than I anticipated, but I loved how much I learned. I realized I need to check my settings throughout the whole shoot, not just set them at the beginning and go. Positioning and moving him was tough, but now I have a grasp on little tricks to make it smoother. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I can't wait until the next newborn (or any age for that matter) session that comes my way!
